Step One

How Do I Reserve a Myrtle Beach Family Photography Session?

Tell me when you'll be visiting Myrtle Beach and what you'd like your family session to feel like, whether it's timeless beach portraits, relaxed vacation memories, or a multi-generational family gathering. I photograph families staying across Grande Dunes, Kingston Plantation, North Myrtle Beach, Surfside Beach, Garden City, and Pawleys Island. Golden hour evenings fill fast in summer, so early booking secures your date and a simple retainer holds it. Wondering whether it is worth it during your trip? Here are my five reasons to hire a family photographer for your beach vacation.

Step Two

How Do You Prepare for a Myrtle Beach Family Photography Session?

Once your date is set, I send everything you need before the session: color palettes that photograph beautifully against sand and water, styling notes for the coastal breeze, and simple ways to prepare young children so everyone arrives relaxed. We talk through your family's dynamic ahead of time, from busy toddlers to grandparents, so the pacing feels natural on the day. After more than 17 years photographing families along the South Carolina coast, I know which locations photograph beautifully, what clothing works best, and how to make the entire experience effortless. Where Are the Best Places for Family Pictures in Myrtle Beach?

I build every session around the evening light, when the coast turns soft and warm and portraits take on a timeless, editorial quality. I personally photograph and direct at spots like Myrtle Beach State Park, Huntington Beach State Park, Murrells Inlet, Litchfield Beach, and DeBordieu. Whether your backdrop is an oceanfront pier, weathered driftwood, or the maritime forest, I'll guide your family naturally rather than placing everyone into rigid poses. The result is genuine laughter, authentic connection, and portraits that feel timeless instead of staged. Not sure when the light peaks during your stay? Check my Myrtle Beach sunset calendar, then read why sunset family photography gives the best results.

Step Four

What Happens During Your Family Photography Session?

The best family portraits happen when everyone forgets the camera is there. Instead of lining you up for stiff poses, I guide your family into real interactions, the walks, the hugs, the inside jokes, so personalities and laughter come through. With young kids I follow their lead first and direct second, which is how the honest expressions surface. Parents can relax, children are free to be themselves, and those genuine in-between moments often become the images families treasure most. Need ideas to get everyone excited beforehand? How Long Does It Take to Receive Your Family Photos?

Your professionally edited gallery is delivered within just 2 to 3 days, often before your vacation ends. You'll receive every high-resolution image in a private online gallery that's ready to download, print, and share with family and friends. Every gallery includes the full group, the kids on their own, parents alone, and the combinations in between. Want to see the finished work first? Why Invest in Professional Family Photography?

Whether you turn them into wall art, share vacation memories with far away family, or simply keep this season of life close, your portraits are made to last. Families book me year after year to mark how the kids have grown, and many plan around the same stretch of coast each summer. Reunions and multi-generational sessions are some of my favorite work, and the best beaches for a large group are rarely the busiest ones. Planning a session at one of my favorite spots? The Difference

What Makes My Myrtle Beach Family Photography Different

There are many talented Myrtle Beach family photographers. Here is what makes the experience at Pasha Belman Photography different, and why families return year after year.

01
Timeless Family Portraits, Not Just Beach Pictures

Many beach photos look overly bright, flat, or quickly become dated. My approach blends natural emotion with editorial composition, beautiful light, and timeless color. Your Myrtle Beach family portraits will look just as meaningful decades from now as they do today, the kind of images you frame, gift, and pass down.

02
I Photograph Every Family Session Personally

Some larger photography teams book multiple sessions a night and send associate shooters. When you book me, you get me. I'm the photographer behind every image in this portfolio, more than 278 five star Google reviews, and features in Martha Stewart Weddings. I meet your family on the beach, guide your session, and personally edit every image you receive.

03
Your Gallery in 2 to 3 Days

Your fully edited gallery arrives in just 2 to 3 days, often while you're still enjoying your Myrtle Beach vacation. Every image is hand edited by me for color, light, and skin tone. You can share favorites with family, order prints, and relive the session while the memory is still fresh.

04
Experience With Every Family Dynamic

From energetic toddlers and teenagers to grandparents and multigenerational reunions, I've photographed more than 500 family sessions across Myrtle Beach. I know how to keep everyone relaxed and engaged, work quickly with young children, and capture genuine connection so your whole family looks natural and comfortable in every frame.

05
The Best Locations for Your Family

I've photographed families throughout Myrtle Beach, North Myrtle Beach, Pawleys Island, Murrells Inlet, Garden City, Surfside Beach, Litchfield Beach, and Huntington Beach State Park. Whether you prefer wide open beaches, Spanish moss, sand dunes, or a quieter stretch of coastline, I'll recommend the location that fits your family's style, personality, and the light you love.

06
A Relaxed Experience for Kids

Children don't need to sit perfectly still to create beautiful portraits. Some of the most meaningful images come from laughter, curiosity, hugs, and the little moments that happen naturally when kids are simply being themselves. I keep the pace playful and unhurried so every child feels comfortable and every family stays present.

Packages and Pricing

All-Inclusive Family Photography Prices for Myrtle Beach

Every Myrtle Beach family photography session is all inclusive: no sitting fees, no hidden charges, the number I quote is the number you pay. What it costs comes down to three things, and prices scale with your session rather than sitting in fixed packages, so you only ever pay for what your family's session actually needs. Send me your dates and I'll reply with current prices and options right away.

I've photographed hundreds of families visiting Myrtle Beach since 2010, from small immediate family sessions to large multigenerational beach reunions. Every session is photographed personally by me, and every gallery is individually edited before it reaches you.

Why Family Session Pricing Varies

01 Session Length

A longer session means more locations, more outfit changes, and more variety in your gallery. Families with toddlers often do better with a little extra time, since it leaves room for snacks, breaks, and warming up to the camera. I plan the timeline around sunset, when the light is best, and set the pace so the whole evening stays calm.

02 Group Size

A single household is a different job from a large family reunion of twenty five. Bigger groups need more time to pose, more coordination between households, and enough frames to cover every combination: the whole family, each household, the cousins, and the grandparents. I plan the groupings in advance and keep everyone comfortable, so nobody stands around waiting in the heat.

03 Dates and Travel

Sunset dates in peak summer weeks book out first, along with holiday weeks and spring break, when vacationing families fill the coast and the sunset light is at its best. Reserve early if your trip lands in one of those windows. I cover the entire Grand Strand at no extra charge, with a small adjustment only for locations well outside my regular area.

Which Family Session Is Right for You?

The Immediate Family

A relaxed hour on the sand for your household, with plenty of full group frames plus individual shots of each of the kids. It is the classic session, and still the one most families book. We start with everyone together, then move through natural, guided moments: walking the shoreline, the kids tucked between mom and dad, the quiet in between frames that tend to become everyone's favorites.

Extended & Multigenerational

When grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins are all together, I build in extra time and plan the grouping in advance, so we capture the whole family, each household, and the generations together without anyone standing around waiting. These reunions are often the reason everyone traveled. You leave with the big portrait for the wall and all the smaller combinations too.

Vacation Sessions

Most of the families I photograph are visiting the coast for a week, so we plan everything before your trip and shoot on the evening that fits your schedule. It is usually an hour around sunset, and because my turnaround is fast you will often have the full gallery before you drive home. All you have to do is show up and enjoy the beach.

Every Age, Handled

With toddlers, I keep the session short, loose, and led by them, so we get real moments before anyone melts down, and I never force a nervous little one to perform. With older kids and teenagers, I lean into natural interaction and an editorial feel, so the photos look like them at this age instead of posed and stiff.

Every Family Session Includes

  • Personal Service

Me as your photographer from start to finish, the same eye behind every image in this portfolio.

  • Guided Session

A fully guided sunrise or sunset beach session with relaxed, natural posing for every age.

  • Full Print Release

High resolution digital files you can print at any size, anywhere, with nothing extra to buy.

  • Individual Editing

Every image edited by hand, with true to life color and natural skin tones.

  • Gallery in 2 to 3 Days

A private online gallery to download, share, and order prints, delivered fast.

  • Planning Included

Outfit styling guidance and personalized location planning anywhere on the Grand Strand.

Each of these matters more than a checklist suggests. Your full print release means albums, wall art, holiday gifts, and archival prints at any size without ever buying anything extra from me. Individual editing on every frame, rather than a single batch filter, is what keeps skin tones natural and color true to the coast. And because the gallery is delivered within 2 to 3 days, most vacationing families are sharing their portraits before they have even driven home. The high resolution files are yours to keep and print anywhere, and the planning that comes first, from your location to your timeline, is built in so nothing is left to chance.

Before Your Session

A little planning makes the evening easy. Plan to arrive about fifteen minutes early so we start the moment the light turns. Most of my locations, from Myrtle Beach State Park to Huntington Beach State Park, have nearby parking and simple beach access, and I send exact directions once your spot is set. Bring water, a light layer for the breeze, and anything that keeps young kids happy between frames. For clothing, start with my family outfit guide, then keep colors soft and coordinated. If the forecast looks unsettled, we watch it together and shift the day or time rather than fight it.

My goal is to make this easy. As a Myrtle Beach photographer, I've photographed families on this coast since 2010, hundreds of sessions across every beach, tide, and season, and many of the same families come back year after year to mark how the kids have grown. When you reach out, I'll check availability for your dates, recommend the session and location that fit your group, and answer anything you are wondering about, from what happens if the weather shifts to which spots work best for grandparents who would rather not walk far. There is no pressure to book. Send me your vacation dates and group size and I'll send back current prices and session options.

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions About Family Sessions

Everything you need to know about booking a family beach session with me, from prices to locations to what happens if it rains. If your question isn't here, just ask.

Myrtle Beach family photography prices are based on session length, the number of images included, and your group size. Every session is all inclusive, with no sitting fees and no hidden charges, and I offer options from a single household to large multigenerational reunions. Send me your travel dates and group size and I'll walk you through current options and help you choose the right session.

I photograph family sessions across the entire Grand Strand: Myrtle Beach, North Myrtle Beach, Surfside Beach, Garden City, Murrells Inlet, Litchfield, Pawleys Island, DeBordieu, and Georgetown. The most popular locations include Myrtle Beach State Park, the quiet dunes of Huntington Beach State Park, and the wide low tide sand at Cherry Grove. If your family is staying at a beach house or resort, your session can often happen right behind your rental.

Your fully edited, high resolution gallery is delivered within 2 to 3 days of your session, one of the fastest turnarounds among Myrtle Beach family photographers. Most vacationing families receive their pictures before they even head home. Every image is individually edited and delivered through a private online gallery where you can download, share, and order prints.

The hour after sunrise and the hour before sunset give the softest light, the quietest beaches, and the most comfortable temperatures for kids. Summer vacation weeks are the most popular season, and I time every session around golden hour to avoid the harsh midday sun. Spring and fall bring beautiful light with fewer crowds, winter has a quiet, moody coastal quality, and I photograph year round.

Yes. I photograph every session personally from start to finish. There are no associates and no surprises on session day. When you book Pasha Belman Photography, you're booking me directly, the same photographer behind every image in the portfolio, the 278 five star reviews, and the Martha Stewart Weddings feature.

Soft neutrals, creams, light blues, and gentle earth tones photograph beautifully against the sand and water. Avoid large logos, neon colors, and very busy patterns. Once your session is booked, I'll send you a full wardrobe styling guide with outfit ideas for every age, from toddlers to grandparents, so the whole group looks coordinated without feeling matchy. In the meantime, my outfit guide for family pictures in Myrtle Beach is a great place to start.

Absolutely. Most of my family sessions are for families visiting Myrtle Beach on vacation. Everything can be booked and planned entirely online before your trip, and I'll send location recommendations, parking details, and a full session timeline well in advance. Tell me when your family will be in town and I'll plan your session around the best light during your stay.

Submit an inquiry with your travel dates and group size. I'll confirm availability and walk you through everything from there. A deposit is required to secure your date, and summer vacation weeks fill months in advance, so reach out as soon as your trip is booked.
