Timing Your Session
Sunrise or
Golden Hour —
Both Are Beautiful
Sunrise
Soft, cool light. Empty beach.
The beach is quiet and entirely yours. Light is cool and flattering. Families with young kids often find mornings easier — everyone is fresh and the heat has not built yet.
Golden Hour
Warm, directional light. The ocean turns gold.
The hour before sunset. The sun is low, skin tones glow, and every frame looks like it belongs on a wall. The most popular time for Myrtle Beach family sessions.
Which is right for your family?
If you have young kids who are at their best in the morning, sunrise is often the better call. The beach is calm, the light is gorgeous, and you are done before the day heats up.
If you want the warmest, most cinematic light and your family is flexible on timing, the golden hour session is hard to beat. The colors are richer, the shadows softer, and the whole atmosphere shifts in a way that photographs beautifully.
Both sessions are shot on the beach. Both produce images you will print and keep forever. Just let us know your preference when you inquire and we will take care of the rest.
