There’s something unforgettable about your baby’s first time seeing the ocean. The gentle breeze, the sparkle of the waves, and the feel of soft sand between tiny toes, it’s a milestone moment that deserves to be beautifully remembered.
For this sweet family session in Myrtle Beach, we had the honor of capturing a baby’s first beach day with her parents and grandparents. The connection between generations, the laughter echoing in the sea air, and the quiet, joy-filled glances between mom and dad created such a heartwarming atmosphere.

We photographed this session at one of our favorite spots along the Myrtle Beach coast. With soft morning light, calm surf, and wide stretches of quiet sand, it created the perfect environment for both candid moments and gently guided portraits.
The baby’s curiosity was infectious. She wiggled her toes in the sand, giggled as the waves rolled in, and reached for sea oats swaying in the breeze. These unscripted moments, shared with her parents and grandparents, became the core of this session’s story.
Rather than aiming for perfectly posed photos, we focused on capturing what was real—snuggles, giggles, and tender in-between moments. These are the kinds of portraits that will grow more meaningful with time. Not just smiling faces, but glimpses of personality, of love, and of being together.
This session reminded us why we do what we do. The beach gives families space to slow down, be present, and simply enjoy one another. Our job is to capture that space honestly and beautifully.
It’s easy to forget how quickly these firsts pass by—the first steps, the first wave chase, the first wide-eyed wonder at a sunrise. But photographs bring them back. They turn fleeting moments into stories that can be shared, displayed, and passed on.
If you’re planning your own family trip to Myrtle Beach and thinking about documenting a special season of life, we’d love to help you create something meaningful. You can explore our Myrtle Beach family portrait experience here to see more of what these sessions feel like.
