Erica and Steven chose Litchfield Plantation Wedding Venue as their wedding day backdrop. Beautifully designed and styled by Gigi Noel Events, a South Carolina based wedding planners.

Love story from the Bride and Groom: “We met in 1995 when both were in the 7th grade at St. Andrew’s Episcopal School. A romance blossomed quickly and Steven and Erica were each others’ first relationship. Alas, the romance did not survive and only lasted one week. However, Erica and Steven remained friends and stayed in touch after Steven left St. Andrew’s to attend high school at Georgetown Prep. They credit this in part with both of their families connection to South Carolina. The Harveys and the Longs each have homes at Pawleys Island and North Litchfield and Erica and Steven grew up spending time every summer at the beach. 

After high school Erica and Steven sporadically remained in touch. In December 2014, Erica contacted Steven to let him know their mutual friend, and one of Erica’s bridesmaids, Jen Thomson had given birth to her second child. Steven’s response was that he was unaware that she was even pregnant. They decided to meet and catch up over dinner at Kramer’s in Dupont Circle on January 1, 2015 and the rest is history.

Steven proposed to Erica after a dinner to celebrate her survival of another semester of grad school at Clyde’s Tower Oaks. He originally planned to propose before dinner but as they were running late to dinner Erica had to hurry inside so that they did not lose their reservation while Steven parked the car. Steven was visibly nervous during dinner and Erica repeatedly asked him if something was wrong. Steven was thwarted once again on the walk to the car because it was so cold outside. Instead, Steven got down on one knee on their front stoop when they arrived home and Erica said “Of Course!” – Erica and Steven – Litchfield Plantation Wedding in Pawleys Island, SC
